Only I.

Only I could sprain a finger with a toothpick.

Only I would not even remember laying a toothpick
on the counter the night before.

Only I would wait to throw it in the trash.

Only I would cover it with a paper towel.

Only I would grab the paper towel first thing in the morning,
before I had my tea, to wipe up the counter,
not knowing there lurked danger underneath.

Only I could therefore jabbed two fingers
with said toothpick, severely spraining my little finger.

Only I have a friend at work, who comes in late everyday,
so I can call him to pick up finger splints on his way to work.

Only I could lock myself out of my house two days before that
after taking out the trash and forgetting that the above-referenced
friend, who replaced the lock the week before, warned me it could easily happen
with this new type of lock.
(Luckily when he told me this, I hid one key in my secret hiding place outside.
Yes, I have locked myself out quite a few times).

Only I, the day before, got my car key jammed into the key ring
so that it took five minutes to get it out of the ignition when I arrived at work.

Shopping advice needed.

I need a new vacuum.
I decided this today as I had to push forward,
with all my two haned might,
my inherited parent's vacuum.

I adjusted the hieght thing and
it did not help.

I turned it over an cleaned the brush
that was packed SOLID with dust and hair.
Gross job, needless to say.

That did not help.

I could take it to a repair place but I did that
a little over two years ago.

I don't know how long stand up vacuums are
suppose to last.
I still have a Dirt Devil Canister vacuum
that will not die, even when I want it to so
I can throw it away.

So, whoever reads this please tell me what kind
you have and why you like it.
And how much you paid for it.

I don't want to spend alot. No Dysons.
I just want one with fairly good suction.

I bought the world's most expensive gas cap.

I lost mine (forgot to put it back on) a few weeks ago.
I went back to the gas station the very next day to find it,
but it was gone, but I found another!
It was not the right size, but it was better than none at all
until I got around to buying a replacement.

Last week my 'malfunction" light came on on the dashboard.
I freaked, wondering if it was my engine.
I looked it up in the owner's manual to find that
this light comes on when one has "lost a gas cap".

Whew!

So this weekend I drove to an auto parts store
to get another one.
On the way I passed a recently occurred accident,
one involving injuries for an ambulance was there,
plus the police.

I was relieved I had not left a little earlier for it could have been me.

I get to where I thought the auto place store was supposed to be,
but there was no sign.
I drove into the back parking lot and
hear a "thump, thump, thump".

Freak out!

It's a Saturday on a holiday weekend!
Who will be available to save me?
What if my engine is dying on me?
I can't afford this!

I pull back into the street, hoping it was just the pavement in the parking lot.
Nope, it was my car.
I pulled in to the adjoining gas station, got out and found that I had a major flat tire,
with a chuck of metal attached to it.

After calling AAA, and going to two tires stores
to find the same brand tire to replace the tire I bought
just a year ago, tha gas cap cost $110.00

I am forever search of my favorite donut.

It does exist.
I found it in my small college town in western Pennsylvania.

It was raspberry filled, glazed with vanilla icing on top.

TO DIE FOR!

Home in eastern PA, I cannot find them anywhere.
I have searched high and low.
All we have here is Dunkin Donuts.
Not a Mom and Pop donut shop anywhere!

The closest there is, is Krispy Kreme's raspberry donut,
but, alas, they have no icing on top.
It must have the icing.

So my nephew is going to college in Pittsburgh
and I just gave him the mission to find them.

I sent a co-worker on the same mission,
when his daughter went to school in Iron City.
He never even tried to find them.

Should I tell my nephew that his inheritance depends
on him finding these donuts?
Just joking!

Stupid is as Stupid does.
Stupid done lost both his jobs.
Stupid sort of caused Gov. John Corzine to get involved in a car accident.
Stupid sort of caused a Jersey State Trooper to get injured also.

But he had Stupider in a red truck help on that one.
Stupider hit and ran.
Stupider must be scared to death right now. Stupider better be calling a lawyer, and find one before the NJ State Police find him.

I am so happy that Larry finally got the paternity test and will soon have Dannielynn.
Frankly it should not have had to reach such legal levels.
Now I hope some normalcy will reign on those involved and I hope Dannielynn has not suffered too much physically from the invitro drug environment she lived in since conception.

What do you say to someone you don't like who won't leave you alone?

Not a memeber of the opposite sex, who's hitting on you,
but a co-worker that is a trouble maker.
I mean a cutthroat, gossiping, conniving person
who is so insecure that she needs to try and get everyone
in trouble just to boost her self esteem?

I mean someone who can't pick up on the sutle messages
that you don't want to have any relationship with them at all,
other than the business you have to do with them?

I mean someone who has to call or email you ten times a day
with nonsense, just to get attention?

I mean someone who keeps asking personal questions,
and when you tell her it's your personal business, she screams
"I don't know what your problem is with me?"

I have to find something to say that
is nonthreatening to this person that will get the message
across in a way that won't threaten her and that she can understand.
